Nice finds Jeff. I bet your were pretty happy to get those barber quarters. That S mint mark looks funny on the coin. Looks to be off to the far right to much.

Congrats

Nate in Ohio said:
Totally cool finds! How deep were most of the coins?

Thanks again All.

Nate, the Quarters were less then 2 Inches.
the dimes Maby 5" the Pennies were both 5" at least
and the 2 Nickels about 3" all "Guestimates"
The Quarters were in the Driveway, about 4 feet from the back of my truck. the rest in a Grassy Row along side the Driveway.

The actual Grove seems to be Hunted Hard.
All Finds were on the Edge of the Grove so far.

and original Church dates to late 1700's
Present church 1880

Wow, Ken, very awesome day! I love those Barber quarters. I am going to start hunting a grove this coming Sunday-1 V-nickel was found in 10 mintues of detecting and we had to leave due to the rain. I posted about it on here. I hope to find some of those coins you found! Your post is very inspiring, dude!

Oops, sorry, Jeff, I don't know why I put Ken there. :D Thanks, Gizmo, for the heads-up. But, anyways, what else could you tell us about this grove? Is it still being used today? I would love to see pictures of what it looks like. HH!
