1864 Civil War Token? Early US Navy Button & Weird Metal Frog Lid

Back in the woods this afternoon and came up with the following items - A tiny coin about the size of a half dime, that has a liberty head on the obverse and 1 1864 with a wreath on the reverse. I'm not sure but I'm assuming it's a Civil War Token. Can anybody identify it? I cleaned the coin this evening and the back seems to have some silver metal showing through. Next is an early US Naval Button, can anybody date it? Finally,a weird, white metal (magnet does not stick) box lid in the shape of a frog.

Gypsy, the frog looks as if it was part of a spoon or something. I can't be sure. JUST KIDDING! ;D
The button & coin look like they have been in the ground a mighty long time. Cool stuff BF

That would appear to be a civil war token but I'm not sure about the size, any that I've seen (not many) are the size of the Indian Head Cents, yours is smaller than that.

Nice finds though!

The Navy button dates from about the early to mid 1830's. Is there a backmark? If so, we might be able to determine an exact date range for it.

The coin appears to be one of the many gilt, base-metal imitations of a California gold dollar. If genuine, in addition to being gold, it would have either the word DOLLAR or some abbreviation thereof, and not simply the numeral 1. For more information about these California pieces, both genuine and imitation, see:

Shown below is an example of a California round gold dollar. As you can see, the design is quite similar, except for the lettering on the reverse, which is replaced by stars on the imitation piece found by Bookfisher. Source: http://kagins.com/korner2003-3-in.html#kk4-22

Got it! "B & B Superfine" is a mark used between 1834 and 1843 by Benedict & Burnham, the Waterbury, Connecticut firm of Aaron Benedict and Gordon Burnham.

You were right PBK - As you suggested, I emailed Rich Hartzog of AAA Historical Americana - World Exonumia
POB 4143 Rockford IL 61110, and below is his response:

This is one of the One Dollar Gold spiel markes (NOT gold, but in imitation thereof), listed as either #800 or 805 in the Fauver book on American Counters. They catalog for $2-$8, depending on variety. In the low grade of yours, basically to a counter collector, it has only slight value. Sorry!
