Duh! 
Why, you go find some place to metal detect. Anybody knows that.
AND.......being the savy, opportunist that I am 
, I found an empty dirt parking lot by a sports complex in my little town, near where I happened to be at the time. It was not a very big parking lot, maybe 100' X 100' 
Anyway, I rolled on in and the dust had barely settled, when I got my first signal!
I tell ya'll from then on it was like being in a seeded hunt......coins were scattered everywhere!
Well, to make a short story even shorter, (after all I did only have an hour to hunt) I ended up finding:
50- pennies, 2-nickels, 9-dimes, 5-quarters, 1 George Washington dollar..... AND..... a mood ring, a "go green" key chain piece, two metal buttons and a tarp grommet. Whew! Not too shabby, and LOT'S OF FUN!
P.S. I did dig pulltabs too, but I refuse to show pics of those things.!
