Some teller of tall tales is spinning another yarn. I wouldn't listen to it. Things that far away dont wash up that fast, it takes many of waves and current and alot of time to make it that far. Things dont get washed in with one massive wave like that, even if that were true, it would take alot longer than 2 weeks to make it that far.

Chances are that the only things to wash-up, will be flotsam and radiation.

Scientists are saying 1-3 years for stuff to wash up our way. But, would you want to touch any of that?
