Well this past weekend we hit the DIV with about 500 hundred other thirsty relic hunters ready for a chance at the big one, and a few managed to bring that to a realality, several CS tounge buckle's, alot of plates and rare buttons. I had big hopes of finding something confederate, but I can only assume I found something, the knife came from the confederate side, as did my piece of spur, my best find being a New York Button in ok shape, and some 69 cal bullets that I had never dug before, man those things are huge, the Mxt and the Etrac did poorly in that soil, anything deeper than 4 inches was a guess, the Tdi guys seemed to do very well, but the big dog was the GPX machines, nothing could compare the the depth this machine was pulling finds from!!! I had Mike locate a bullet for me with his machine, and there is no way I could have found it with my machine, I never thought I would consider getting a GPX, but after that, I really don't see how someone can not have one if possible. We had a great time, every day we all looked like 90 year olds bent over groaning with soarness, but ready to go again the next morning, this was our first DIV, but not our last.
