Sure, its green and crusty but there's a lot of detail hiding behind all that "patina".

The picture doesn't do it justice.

This is the 3rd LC and the 2nd Matron I've found on this site this week.

1817 Coronet
1828 Coronet
1853 LC
1862 IHP (fatty)

I'm happy with the great finds on this site, but I find myself wondering, "Where's the OLD silver hiding"?

Ok, gimme your 2 Large Cents Worth - Should this be cleaned?

PM sent, but clean at your own discreation.

Some people swear against it, but I don't usually care about if I "ruin" a coin. I clean them because I want to lol

A cleaned coin can lose value if you care about that.

I personally don't on coins like that.

Some coins I won't clean. Others I will. That one I would. It's not a higher grade condition so you can't really do much more damage to it.

I was able to bring this one back to this point, where I decided to stop.

It looks much better - I'm pleased. ;D
