A couple of short hunts today.

Hit a small town schoolyard around the basketball court briefly. Found an interesting bell plus a modern "everyone is special" gymnastics medal and a couple bucks in clad.

After that I had a club hunt in a county park. It was a pretty non-productive day. Not a good sign when 10 guys hit a park hard and only come up with a handful of change, a few wheaties and a couple hundred pull tabs. The wheat cent is from the club hunt along with the bullet slug.

Nice old crotal bell! A nice find like that would keep me really scouring that site.

I ended up going back to the schoolyard where I found the bell and only came away with a bit o clad. That bell was 2-3 inches down next to a basketball court. The school is relatively new so it's kind of a weird find there. I can only assume it was lost when the school property was farm land.
