was working on my beach the other day and noticed a ammo tin had washed in.. was rusted shut but after i opened it, it turned out to be a Geo cache that has been missing since 2007.. gold guru ran the numbers and tracked down the owner for me so i can return it later this week.. will let u all know how it goes, maybe get a green light to hunt his property... but after a busy few weeks of putting a new 350 SBC in the digger Mobil, i am back to hunting.. not much but a start.. 1925, 1928, 1941, 1942d, 1944, 1945d, 1946d, 1956d Wheat's.. and some odds n ends... till the next hunt, and happy 4th to all!!! MR TUFF

nice find man i geocache sometimes i was actually detecting a spot that has one just yesterday. A few geocaches i have hidden get stolen but never returned.

I have a Geocache that I found in Hawaii. I contacted the company and they notified the owner, who never replied. Maybe an abandoned geocache.

made the call today and the owner came and picked up his geo cache. he was very happy, said he will put it in a new spot. ( were it will not wash 12 miles down stream to my beach) so good deed done :icon_thumleft: hope tomorows road trip pays off ;D till next time MR TUFF

I found one of those just the other day under a tree in the middle of nowhere. Had nothing but crap in it.

And now it has a pencil in it. :)
