Well its been a long hot summer but I was finally able to get out. Here are the finds from my first two hunts this season. The seated dime made my day on the second hunt and the other two silvers were from the first hunt. Any ideas on the buckle? Thanks for looking and HH.

I think I did get the back of it a little. Just on the left edge. It could also have gotten that from a plow. I am amazed at how good it looks after being in a farm field for that long. I found it along the edge of the field that sits next to a church built in the early 1820s.

Thank you for looking and for the comments. The seated is a real beauty. When I dug it I didn't think it would be in this kind of shape. I sure wish it had an S on the back. The Merc and Walker came from the first hunt at a different site. The pinfire cartridges, eagle buttons, and all the round ball came from the same site as the seated although they were not at the edge of the field where I found the dime. The church is still there and there was a small town and a mill site in the area although I am not sure exactly where each site was at and I do not have permission to hunt all of it.

Your buckle is from harness/horse tack, and still used today....for the life of me the name of em escapes me at the moment, but the tail of a strap with an eye in it is passed through, and back under with the eye over the "little peg",and pulled tight.Awesome Seated!

Does any one have a rough idea on where this coin might fall as far as grading goes. I realize its hard from the pictures but I would like a "rough" idea. thanks
