Friday I worked half a day and headed out door knocking with NoNickels. We stopped at an old one room school house that has been converted into a house. We asked permission and the owner said it has been hunted many times, and we said that doesn't scare us, :laughing7:
can we please try our luck. He said you can have "one hour" ...lol :tongue3:
Ok good enough for me, better than a "NO"

I ended up with 2 wheats, a 1903 and 1905 indian. Not bad for an hour at a Hunted hard place.

We stopped at another farm and only old coin was the STUNNING 1891 indian, that was worth knocking for. :o

House #3 I got a rosie, some wheats, and clad.

Saturday I went hunting with DiggerDan, and we hit a couple old houses
House #1 I got only clad and wheats
House #2 I got wheats, a silver rosie and clad

before we called it quits for the day we hit an old ballfield I have done well at in the past. I cranked up the sensitivity in manual and away I went. First dig was the silver war nickel. Then I get this DEEP 01-41 signal on the etrac. I was expecting an old wheat, it was at the bottom of the depth meter. So I cut a large plug and a good 8" down was this old sterling ring. What a nice surprise. :hello2:

Somewhere, somehow I lost my pill bottle I carry my wheats in, I dug about 10 wheats saturday and it is just gone. I hope a kid finds it, will make his day, wheats mean nothing to me, so I am just thankful it wasn't my silver pill bottle.....lol :icon_thumleft:

This may be my last hunt of the year. Temps this week are dropping 20-25 degrees, not looking good!

That indian is beautiful with a great smooth patina, I like the old patriotic ring, and the other finds are nice too. I'd take that pile any day. HH

Nice lookin' Injun, I dug a ring very similar to the one you found. Some call it a Mothers ring, they were worn by those who had loved ones in the service fighting the war.

Great finds... the IH and ring are beautiful!!! Been meaning to search an old school house around the corner from me. I hope that it dries out this weekend so I can hit it and at least find something half as nice as your finds. HH
