I've found quite a few of these tiny rings at the beaches I hunt and every time I ask myself the same question. Hard to imagine not only giving a gold ring to a child, but then also allowing them to wear it to the beach. Or maybe there are lots of tiny fingered adults out there... Anyway, congrats on a beauty of a ring

That's a pretty ring!

One thing for sure, since you were able to locate and recover it, you can be reasonably confident you did a good job and a larger one would not have escaped you!

Congrats on good technique!

could possibly be a child's ring, but I'd think it more likely a woman with very small fingers. In my job, I've re-sized women's wedding sets as small as a 3 1/2.

If you hunt enough tot lots and kiddie play areas you will find some very small gold rings. I have found a number of size 1 gold "baby" rings. Who would take a baby with a gold ring on it's finger to the playground?

Congrats on the beautiful ring!
