Finally on the board...First copper ~ 1650's French Liard!

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I posted because unlike most of you I've been in a slump. I've been out quite a few times with nothing really to speak of until today. I tried a new spot right on a main road that I figured was most likely hunted out and boy was I wrong. Within 5 minutes I got a decent shallow signal. I broke open the frozen plug and bam, there it was. This is my second ever Liard, it appears to have either a D of B mint mark. Sorry for the crappy cell pic, I hope to get a good digital camera asap. You can kinda see one of the fluer de lis in the bottom left corner of the pic and the mint mark. Anyways thanks for looking and HH!

Thanks, I'd like to post a better pic but I don't have the means at the moment. After I found the coin I left because I was out of time but I will most definitely be returning to see what else turns up. Hopefully a nice piece of MA tree silver!

there are some roadsides i've had my eye on for a while.
i think this has pushed me over the edge.

LOL, thanks man...I need a good digital camera bad! I have acess to two but the macro setting on them sucks

Thanks JB, that's a good score on the camera, I was looking at the same models but now I have another problem...A virus corrupted my computer's ability to recognize the USB port so that means any external device including cameras and my scanner/printer don't work.
