Another Mill site...UPDATE~1792 Camac Kyan & Camac Dublin Halfpenny,LC,etc...

Hey everyone,

Hit up a new mill site today for a bit and had a nice little hunt. I got an iffy signal in the range of a shotgun shell and out popped a worn copper to my surprise and I'm not sure what it is. Out of the ground it rang a solid 18 on my machine which is low for a copper making me think it's a counterfeit but I'm not sure, the last William III I pulled rang up in that range. The obverse is toast so I posted the best image I could come up with which appears to be a seated woman with some lettering visible near the edges. The letters
are tough to make out and part of the date is visible, looks a bit like 1701 but that's just a meager guess. Other than that I scored another toasted fattie, a toasty 1817 LC and
a frock/dandy button. Thanks for looking and HH everyone! ~~~~UPDATE~~~~ Thanks to Iron Patch's impressive coin ID'ing skills the mystery is solved! Thanks again IP and everyone for their input and comments as well, HH all.

Ah a coin that is a challenge, well for some reason William III does not seem right but I know I should recognize the copper and just cannot, so here is a comparison of your copper with the different reverses possible on a William III.

Great visual Don :icon_thumleft: It looks closer to this style to me... though still don't know that it is a match. Could you get a better photo? I'd love to know what it is - super finds!

That's actually what I was going to next if he said no. Better find if it is!

Looks like you're out, and I'm still in.... Lettering starts too high on the North American, and I can now see the N (actually the IN)matching the position of the Kyan. Gotta be it, although I was assuming there is a 1791 date and don't know that for sure. I know 1792 is the most common.

IP I think you nailed it as usual! I can just make out the INCOR exactly as shown in the coin you posted, everything else that I can see seems to be proportionate as well. Here's a scanner pic at an angle that might help to see the lettering...

Thanks! Every time I pull a dandy I hold my breath and look for two initials that I need not mention...
