The Boy Scout token is not what some might think. The word swastika came from the Sanskrit word svastika, meaning any lucky or auspicious object, and in particular a mark made on persons and things to denote auspiciousness.

The Nazi's stole it in the 1930's and turned it 45 degrees. Just like the word "Gay" used to mean happy and we all know what happened to that word.....

Used for thousands of years and still in use today. Even used by US troops in WWI.

Your Lone Ranger badge is missing some enamel and paint, but it's a style that was used in 1938-1939 as an advertising premium for a number of different bread companies.
