Congrats on the coppa! I'd give that place another shot and maybe try "gridding" it if finds seem few and far between. I've had very good success with that method

after giving a site a good swipe. HH

So, you know, for the sake of the kids, I took them to the school playground. The usual clad, a copper tag, St Anthony, some kind of snap or button thing and this really strange ring... It looks like it's glowing because it sort of is. The setting looks pretty old (this was all farm land) and I cant even see any markings on it. Really really creepy!! The dark spots are from it being still damp.

I like the grid method... and I do the spiral around a really good find working my way outward... Thanks for reminding me to do that!!

It is strange, isnt it? Could it be possibly stained glass? It's not plastic for sure. I have to clean it a bit to look for marks... 2012 has been fabulous for hunting and for real estate for me. I'm grateful to God for it. I'm blessed to be able to work on real estate- and below it!

Nice work Bev, I'm new here and I'm surprised at how many folks are from the Ocean State.
Great weather we've been having this winter, I sure won't complain.
Happy Hunting!

A friend was in a local sporting goods store and a guy walked out with 3 detectors! Pretty soon there will a ton of competition up here!
