May 25th finds from torn down house spot
Nope I didn't find any silver or gold but I found enough to keep me going back. I used electrolysis for cleaning the tag and copper thing with the latin on it. I brought the Latin thing to bike night last night to see if any of them guys knew their Latin but no takes, they all got a charge out of the old lighter though, they also like the seated dime I found last Saturday as well.
I did some research on this outfit and they began in 1848 and were sold out to Oliver in 1931, there was so much iron residue on this tag when I found it I thought it was just a blank tag till I got home and used the brass brush on it, then electrolysis. According to what I found on the net they built steam traction devices and early gas engines.
I really like finding old lighters, the top is missing and there's absolutely no writing on it but I suspect maybe in the 20's or 30's but don't know for sure
The old patent dates like this old Gem razor has on it are always a good indication of possible old coins in the area and I will definitely be returning to this site.

How do you find Gold coins? Reply: 'By finding lots of Silver ones..'
