Toasty Copper found, can someone help ID?

I found this very toasty copper in Western Ma, it is a right facing bust. I think it it a CT copper, but I'm not sure. I can make out the 17** on the back, but no image. Any ideas?

Gotta love when you see those big green disks, unfortunately they don't stand up too well to our harsh winters and most come out looking like yours, congrats on the find but I have no guess what it is.

To me the profile most resembles William III, which is quite different than the George coppers.

Thanks Iron Patch, I thought it may be one of those as well, but I wasn't certain. There were a few right facing busts with similar features.

Just read your post again, so with a 1700s date (1700,1701) it would be a first issue like this one if you're trying to match it up. (if there even is anything else to match that can't be seen in the pictures)
