finally finally finally found my first ring, a few months ago when i first got into detecting, what really made my head spin were the ring pictures. the thought of pulling out a nice diamond studded beauty intrigued me so...now its by no means that blinging lost engagement ring, but it is stamped 925 silver, and im just happy i finally got one. plus that little gold bracelet bead, and lots of change. almost all at a permanent beach resorts sand volley ball net. a volleyball net on the beach is an awesome place to be with a metal detector on your arm...:)

Congrats! It gets very tough waiting for that first one, (of anything)! NOW, that you have it, the rest will start coming faster.

Nice ring!

HH!

Volleyball courts for the win! That's the first place I hit every time I head to the beach.

yep, i was using the excalibur. it really does work great. doing my grid patterns right into the water is a very cool thing, i only wish the surf wasnt so rough that day as could hardly hold the thing straight. but definitely a worthwhile buy. i fought myself back and forth wondering if i should spend that much money on a detector, then i thought i could die anytime, and what good is a paycheck sitting in the bank ;)

Nice chunk of silver. I find a lot around basket ball courts ,were people lay their stuff on a shirt /towel ect and then pick it up . I have lost one this same way. The last nice ring I found was at the B ball court 5' from the edge. Happy Hunting:occasion14:

Awesome silver ring!!! A solo foto showing what it looks like would have been cool.

Funny, volleyball courts have all been like deserts for me, hardly even a piece of trash or penny. I remember someone else making a similar observation.

I agree about the basketball courts. In addition to a thick silver wedding band, I found 4 British 1-pound coins and a silver stud. I gave the coins to my sister when she went to London.
