Cool ring!
If thats a "killer find" Im not sure I'd want it! Hah!
Plt8man, I have a few of those registration corner plates that they used to send you back in the 30-40s for your
license plates. I was cleaning one the other day after I found it and it said "Folsom Prison" on it in really tiny print. Almost missed it until I started cleaning it.
Got a better focused pic of the front?

That ring is bad to the bone! I've had to come back and look at it a few times since it was posted. You're a lucky devil to have found that!

Wow! I agree, probably made for a CO by an inmate. Why at a school? Kid took his dad's ring for "show and tell" or just to show off?
Congratulations on #100! This is one really, really unique and awesome ring.

Anita

Well I just meet with my friend Jeff who was a guard at San Quentin from the 1980's to the mid 1990's and he felt that it was prison made by an inmate . He said if it would have been found in the prison it would have been taken away , not aloud in prison . He took some picture of it and will be given them to his friend who still works in the prison . He will then take it to the San Quentin prison museum to find out the history of the ring ! I would love to know the true story behind this ring ! This one will be a keeper forever .
Thanks everyone for their input
HH
