That is a sweet score. And just goes to show you can be surprised by anything if it's 10" down-Or just under the surface.
Nice going on that sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet coin!!

Thanks Peter ! This was one big surprise . My Son could not believe it when I called him over to see it in the grass . He had just passed by about 5 feet away from it .

I had that happen with a Barber dime right on the surface, on a well walked path in the woods. It's blows your mind, doesnt it? Nice one- Can't wait to find one in that shape!

It's just a 1963 Memorial penny . Looks like it was made into a pendent for a neck less . Maybe the person's birth year
