Hi to All!
1) My treasure hunting buddy Rodney recovered this belt buckle during our last metal detecting trip to a few cellar holes located in the Lost Valley, Central New York. I assume it's an item from the Civil War period, but I'm clueless about its identity. It certainly doesn't belong to the category of Rev War finds which we are used to deal with in Upstate New York. It's made of two brass sheets and has a bar on back. Can you ID it for me please?
2) To All of you who are SNOWED OVER already and getting into melancholy mood, I'm offering to look at my new photogallery, WOMEN OF EASTERN EUROPE, on my web page. It will certainly please your eye a little! Click on link below.

Happy Hunting!

Real nice buckle Sergie....Wonder if there's any way of pressing that out without damaging it....But then again, that's the way it was found.
