Not likely, Romeo. The site is about 5 miles from the nearest paved road. Four wheel drive is a must. The site was once a stop on an old stage coach road. There was an inn there, but it burned in 1840. The soil is very sandy and I have found many coins and buttons there over the years in various condition, including an 1836 cent in nearly as good coniditon. (See my avatar). But it was my first thought as well.

Here is the back of a colonial "flat" button I found there a while back.
