I spent about 4 hours at a local park and these two things seemed the most interesting. Along with them I found some newer pennies a 1984 quarter and a whole bunch of crud....the round thing is not magnetic. I scoured and edge and it is a dull shiny and silver looking. It came up on my Lonestar Bounty hunter as silver and high pitched and I found it close to an oak tree about 3-4 inches down.

I think one of the more facinating parts of this hobby is finding such things that meant something to someone in a another time and are more or less a mystery today. If there was a hole in the one marked BC it could be like a pendant of some kind. It has a homemade look about it.

It does not have a hole in it, as for being a pendent. I thought it was a buckle but it just seems to small. I was able to clean it up a little for a better picture. It definatly handmade
