long day
stared out at a few different places
rained
lost my cheapo knee pads
had to go buy a new set splurged and got a good carpenters pair like them lots
ended up relic hunting at a dump thats an easy hike close to the road nothing stellar
had to go pick up the lady at work at 1 pm
so dropped her off then headed out to"the barber shop"
rain had stopped and sun poped out for a few minutes so i had to make a break for it!!!
this spot has been pretty good for coins (tons of trash)
got there at 2 pm
had 1 hour and 45 minutes to get it dug(had to pick up the kid from work)
at 3.44 i got one more "good signal" at about 3 inchs
it was a little spotty but good 3 ways after X'ing it
dug down hit a 2 inch root right off
pulled out the root saw
the the signal POPED
with a slight broken to the side of it
first this poped out(hence the broken tone)

i was like "OH DRAT"
then these sweeties were laying in the "whole" (hence the solid tone)
then the cell rang and had to go home
talk about at the wire!!!!

WOW!! Simply an awesome find! I would get a little display case and display the purse and all of the coins together!

Awesome! ;D ;D Funny too how it came down to the last minute of the hunt.

I would try cleanning one with amonia and a Q-tip. You will be pleasantly surprise how well amonia works on decent copper.

Wow! That's a find you'll remember for a long time! Now, if only there had been some Barber action in that purse too.

i may just soak them in smoking hot water and "hose" them off to keep the patina
to be able to show the out lines of were they layed on each other

Sweet find for sure. That does not happen too often but must feel great. I always hope to find an old coin spill someday. Congrats on digging the iffy signal, you never know.

Wow, holy shit, bro, you had a nice spill there! The most Injuns I have found in a single hole was 6! That probably "broke" the poor dame from purchasing that costly nail polish back in 1905! (.14 cents) hehehe
