Good find on the minis. Never seen a "washer" worth $0.5 in trade......company store token maybe?

It is a trade token alright but I've never seen one that just had numbers on one side. They usually have the name of the business on them. Very different. TD

Numbered tokens are one of the big mysteries of numismatics. I've written several posts about my thoughts - you can check the archives (search for numbered). These are slot machine tokens and I think the numbers relate to either a "route of machines" serviced by one person or something very similar. I've seen them with from single to 5-digit numbers.

I have heard that soldiers would deposit their money in places before battles or something like that. And thought this might be one of the the coins or something that they kept track of to redeem the money
