Child's silver fork...UPDATE

This is a post from the last two hunts, both with "Rick from Nova Scotia". Rick and I headed out on Thursday for a little hunt, Rick scored an absolute beauty of a silver, 1862 New Brunswick dime with a minting error. Check out his post. I picked up a good assortment of relics and 2 coppers. An 1871 PEI penny and an 1876 Canadian penny. was a great day out in the sun.
Today we went to a new site and again got up a good assortment of relics but the find of the day goes to me and my AT Pro. A tiny 3 inch long sterling child's fork. I have to say I was thrilled to see that little thing come up. Man, I love this hobby.

This fork is stamped sterling but after looking at it under magnification I see SSMC which can date it between 1909 and 1932. I can't find any hallmarks on it and I am sorry I just can't get a pic of the markings, they are just too tiny.:icon_thumright:

That little fork is cool, see a few small spoons, but I don't recall a mini fork.

Looks like an ox knob there too?

I'll make a post in a minute.

Good hunts! What is that in the second pic? Looks like a part to a ramrod keeper...

I'm not quite sure but I think it is an old bullet casing that exploded in a fire because it is ballooned out in the center.

I told him it is NOT an explded bullet, but he won't believe me. (smiley face)
