I didnt find the Corps button this year but it's one of my favs so i posted it any way...I outlined the finds that are mine...Any way thats it 2006 was fun and hopefully 2007 will be just as good.Happy new years and happy hunting everyone :)

These are pics of both sides..It's about the size of a dime and has a little lion-esque creature at the bottom which i think may be key to indentifying it............

That'd be pretty cool, how often are you down this way?

Its a coin weight for weighing gold coins. Your need a expert or someone with a book to date it.

Keys things are its weight?

Also I guess the 5 is the donomination of the coin. But it could be for spanish or other foriegn types, the weight will be the clue.

The Lion is the offical mark to prove to traders its not dodgy.

Well done, as always, Dugfinds! Here's a similar weight— "5 pennyweight, five annulets ctm. large crown rev. five annulets square 16.5mm. 7.50gm.

I usually run down to Deale for a couple "striper trip's" each year.Lived in Montgomery Co. nearly all my life....So.Md is right down the road for me since my round trip to work is 2 1/2 hr's.PM me later if you want to hook up,just got access to a new farm that was used as a hospital,Gen. Mansfield took his last breath at the house....
