Found this last night along with a 1905 IH, few wheaties, couple war nickles, and lots of trash. Not sure what the little Scottie tie pin is made of but its heavy not magnetic and soft. If its gold it will be a first. It has no markings on it that I can see. Any other easy ways to test it?

How heavy is it? It would be unusual to have that size chunk of solid gold, and if it was, it should have quite a bit of weight to it.

looks like maybe a sweater chain, used to hook it together at the neck. nice find!
