Not Sure What This Is?

I found this on an old site were a house was built between 1816 - 1819. I am finding a lot of old house junk but no coins. I have permission to metal detect there but I have heard a lot of people have snuck in and hunted. I just can not seem to find out what this is.

No clue, but it sure is pretty. Can you put something next to it so others can determine the size. Someone will be along shortly to help ID. A great find!
