I found a plate off of a similar lock several years ago and thought it was civil war...was told the US is the company and the locks were 1920s,1930s era...

That's a cool find. I always like making the more unusual finds .... the ones that don't turn up every day...and an old lock definitely fits that description. Plus anything that says U.S. on it is a sweet find. :thumbsup:

I'm not sure but I think it's a US Postal service pad lock I found two of them.
