Found my first Class ring today. Hope to find the owner

It is almost embarrassing to tell you all that I have never found a class ring. I have been metal detecting for 16 years and no class ring, must just be one of those things.

I hunted another park today and when the weather turned bad I decided to leave. On the way home the weather looked a little nicer and a park on the way home was calling my name. I decided to just hit the front of the park where I have found a crazy assortment of goodies over the years. I think I dug 2 pennies and was fixing to get in the car when I got "The" signal. I thought "Oh, good another penny". When I parted the grass it was just sitting there. I actually couldn't believe it. I had actually found my nicest silver ring ever just yesterday. Can't believe that God was shining on me again.

I posted a found ad on a few group pages of facebook and an add on our most popular local classified ads. The ring is a class of 2014 so I think this should be an easy return.

Congrats on the lovely class ring! It's gonna be fun to present that to the teen who lost it, and that young one right now probably feels sad & very foolish -- I know cuz when I was in high school back in 1959, I lost my beloved class ring (sadly never found it -- could that be why I keep digging here 3000 miles away from where I lived then? lol ) Let us know if any luck finding the owner. I contacted the school and they said they would help me out. I plan to go there first thing tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed.

I think I've only ever found one class ring also - mine was 10k with a red glass "stone" good luck on the return - it is very rich when you
connect the original owner with the lost ring !
