Garage sale

While driving home from the shops yesterday came upon a garage sale. went in and had a look around and noticed a tin with some coins in picked it up and asked how much, he said is a £1 ok(i think thats about two dollars). when i arrived home and had a look this was one them. Was that a good buy?

Nice bargain on that coin. But I think your math is off. If it takes $2.00 to equal 1 Pound (I don't have the symbol on my keyboard), then your coin is worth 40 pounds, not 440 pounds. But the estimates would be appropriate here in the USA, I don't imagine it would be worth 40 pounds in Britain.

Ok since no ones told you yet. That's a Morgan silver dollar. I have an odd ball one that has a 1 stamped on one side and a 3 stamped on the other. Either way an excellent find. Congrats. Swizzle

£1 = €1.45
€1 = $1.30
