So if 1 British pound is around 2 dollars, that must make me worth... 440 dollars!

Nice bargain on that coin. But I think your math is off. If it takes $2.00 to equal 1 Pound (I don't have the symbol on my keyboard), then your coin is worth 40 pounds, not 440 pounds. But the estimates would be appropriate here in the USA, I don't imagine it would be worth 40 pounds in Britain.

Ok since no ones told you yet. That's a Morgan silver dollar. I have an odd ball one that has a 1 stamped on one side and a 3 stamped on the other. Either way an excellent find. Congrats. Swizzle

WOW, you got a deal there. That might not be worth that much there but if you wanted to sell it you could put it on ebay and make a nice profit. Us yanks over here across the pond would scarf that up in a hurry.

£1 = $2
£1 = €1.45
€1 = $1.30
