Got my first Silver coin. A ugly 1938-D Merc, but you know what...It's dang pretty to me ;D

Both nickels are 64's and I also got a very ugly 40ish wheat cent. A few of my lincolns are from the 59-64 range, so I bet there is more silver in that park. Lots of trash, but I am digging deeper and clearer signals with the new DD1400.

3 Hour Hunt =

1 Merc
1 Wheat
4 Quarters
8 Dimes
2 Nickels
22 Pennies

Congrats, man!!! There's nothing like your first silver, ok, there is, but this is a family site. Nice work!

A merc is a merc. I've been at this for almost 7 years without a merc. Congrats

Hey Storm, way to go on the first silver. I think its beautiful and am really happy for you. Sometimes all it takes to get the ball rolling is an ice breaker. I predict plenty of silver in your future....and the first thing I'd do is hit the heck out of the spot you found it. By the way, I'm still waiting for my first merc.
