Hello everybody!
this is my first time posting here. I have been detecting now for three years.
Ive finally found something that I could use some help with getting some information on.
was out detecting last Friday at an old schoolhouse location that dates to the 1880's. didn't have the time this weekend to get done what I really wanted, but have more than enough to make me want to go back and do every square inch :)
Found 3 canadian large cents (1910, 1912, and 1920) and found a huge coin that turns out to be a "province of Nova Scotia" "one penny token" I noted a date of 1886 when I first found it, but by the time it got back home to be cleaned up and researched, a large piece had flaked off of coin, cutting off part of the "Victoria" on both ends of her name, and kept going right over the bottom part of the bust and the date. all that I can make out by camera is the "6" which is just above the 18mm mark of the ruler. If you look close enough just right, you can still faintly see the 18, but its hard to see. IMG_0717.JPG IMG_0718.JPG IMG_0722.JPG IMG_0724.JPG IMG_0726.JPG

It's actually a little older.
Nova Scotia One Penny Token KM#6
year 1856
mintage 360,000
two varieties, but an example has to be in better condition to determine which one.
about the same value in lower grade anyway....$2.00 and up
Good Luck,
wagbert
