All I wanted today was a nice, simple stroll at a VERY hunted park that I still like to visit.

UPDATE on button. See below.

But, if you'd walked along side of me today, you would've heard all those little comments and more! I'm usually pretty quiet. ;)

I could make this a very simple post full of pics, but where's the fun in that, if ya get bored, just go away and finish another time. ;)

I'm not going to go in order of comment but this is the one that caused me to sit back on my heel and say YIKES!! LOL

I got this loud surface hit that I turned over and it didn't appear as anything I could recognize.
SHOCKER1.jpg
Trouble was, I was seeing the back of it, like this.
SHOCKER2.jpg
(after cleaning up of course)
But, when I first flipped it over in the field, this is what I saw staring back at me!
SHOCKER3.jpg
YIKES!

Here it is cleaned up a bit. Don't know what the material is but I bet some of the more "pirate" oriented will love this
medal. LOL

SHOCKER4.jpg
It is kinda heavier than it looks, nonmagnetic.

LINEUP.jpg
Don't get me wrong, it was a very fun hunt! They were even lining up for me! ;)

HORSESHOE.jpg
Believe it or not, this is my first full horseshoe. :)

DUNNO1.jpg DUNNO2.jpg
No clue. The dome is nonmagnetic, the back is of course. Big button? :icon_scratch:

WHEATIETOASTED.jpg
Whole wheat toast. :)

HICCUPS.jpg
With these, I thought my propointer had developed hiccups! LOL Took me a while to
figure out what was going on in this hole. They came out clean and shiny but when I
got them home, magnetic. Oh well.

GILTED1.jpg GILTED2.jpg
Even found this tiny flat button. Still has a bit of gilt & maybe a letter or two on the back.
Haven't figured it out yet. The front? I'm just not sure if I'm seeing any detail there yet.

That brings me to my last find and the one that toyed with heart stoppage. LOL
I'll just let the pics explain.

Ya gotta remember, I'm nowhere near the Canadian border and have never even seen a
Canadian dollar before, let alone dig one! LOL :)

The finds today were all over the spectrum! Time and variety both! LOL
This is the kind of hunt that just plain keeps this fun for me.

OVERALL1.jpg
Doesn't seem like a whole lot of finds, now does it? ;)

Even when my ride showed up, it was somehow, different!

Thanks for the visit! (Sorry it was so long!) :)

Your first full horse shoe isn't a horse shoe. You found a mule shoe. Trust me, I used to nail them on. Mules have
different shaped feet than horses. Looking at the bottom of a mules foot it looks like a U, while a horses front foot
looks like a C and the hind foot is a bit more pointed than the front, but isn't U shaped.

Details, details! :dontknow:

As far as I know it could've been the last shoe that Francis wore in his last movie. :dontknow: ;)

Thanks! I stand corrected.

OOOHHH!!! The BUTTON!!! Sorry, I didn't catch it the first time.
I still don't know. I'm doing a bit more cleaning but nothing yet.

I'll share when/if I can figure out anymore.

Thanks!

Very cool finds and the pirate is just in time for International Talk Like a Pirate Day (September 19)

It's a parotic holiday created in 1995 by John Baur (Ol' Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap'n Slappy), of Albany, Oregon,[1] U.S., who proclaimed September 19 each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate
