Thanks for the comment....I am a little new to all this still and not 100% sure even want to clean them.....I also posted this in the "what's this"section.....you say buckles.....did you notice how small they are?....penny dug as well but for reference for the small items.....if they are buckles, do you have any idea what they were buckles for and what approximate date?

Sorry I don't know that much about buckles but I would bet they are late 1800's or early 1900's. Regarding cleaning, I would just rinse in water and brush them with a toothbrush to get the dirt gone.

Thanks.....I cleaned a colonial flat button with great results using peroxide heated up and a toothbrush to gently scrub.....it ended up showing the detail and still left the nice green patina....but with these I may give them a rinse in water and see how they look.....will post pics if I do so
