Last week I hunted a 90-year old property in the Chicago area (with permission) and
scored a couple of wheats from the 1930's. No big deal. But, I was really excited when I
found my first railroad key from the C & NW Railroad. As I started to spiral out to find
the matching lock (no luck) I got decent signal which turned out to be a neat check tag
for a roller skating rink that was popular in the 1950's. I asked the property owner (in his 70's)
if this was something he may have lost back in the day and he reminiced about skating there
when he was in school. He couldn't remember ever loosing it and said I could keep it.

During my most recent hunt at an obscure local park a couple of days ago, I was elated
when I recovered a WWII Aisiatic Pacific Campaign medal. I suspect that it belonged to
one of the owners in a tract of homes that were built in the 1950's and then later
bulldozed for the Park's construction. I only wish there was a name inscribed on the back
so I could embark on another hunt :)

Thanks for looking!
