Went to one of the local beaches to waste some time and enjoy the amazing weather. Tide was coming in as I arrived, 4 pendulum swinging detectorists were working the dry sand as I crossed the dune. 10 min into my first path along the wave break on sand.

Any knowledge on the hallmark? "P8"

Then for the next 20 min or so few dimes of modern age and a token from what to me seems Regan era

By now there are 2 of the detectorist that have noticed I am consistently scooping out items who wander down within interference range, but since these 2 were using ladles with holes liberated from the wives kitchen utensils they didn't venture to far into the wave break.

Good thing they weren't prepared, less the 10 feet from a fella swinging

Sun was starting to fall beyond the horizon, and tummy was grumbling so opted for one more tone then go home.

This one feels like stainless, not to sure, hallmark doesn't list any known mark. But "tl made in USA m&b" thought that was the rarest thing I have found " made in USA"

Hope to get some feed back on the 2 hallmarks, but either way. The fever is pushing me back to the hunt. Be safe in your travels and take the time to look at the amazing environment we have the privilege to reside in.

Thank you all for the interaction. As far as details of the hunt. I started of with my old trusty minelab sovereign xs-2 pro, found the first 2 with that. It sounded like weeeeeep, lol I hunt in non discrimination so they all sound about the same. Other 2 were found with the Excalibur 2, surf was getting little rougher and have experienced a non water machine getting dunked in the drink. So switched to the Excalibur. Same deal hunt in non discrimination, these beaches have trash but nothing that would hinder someone from running wide open non discrimination. Taking the p8 ring to the jeweler to have cleaned and stones checked. Will update that later this week. As far as p8 hallmark, found more info for "plumb" then anything else. Gold or not still a great day for detecting.
