Civil war Artifacts found in Virginia

I recently visited Virginia and i brought my metal detector along with my brother and his metal detector. I went to the back of my grandparents property where there is an old rock wall that was built during the civil war era (there is still some standing today). We started detecting and i pulled a horseshoe from underneath a rock.
I am no expert but i think it is a confederate horseshoe.


Also on my trip to Virginia I went to a battlefield, the name is slipping my mind right now, but i was detecting a hill and found a bullet which was fired and hit something.
the bullet is also civil war era.

My Grandad lives Up there and he knows alot about the civil war and he said that the rock wall was from that era, they built the wall right on the edge of the path and thats where i found the horseshoe
Not only that, he also said that iron was low in the south during the civil war and most horseshoes had the rounded ends, but since the south had such little iron that they made flat ended horseshoes to save on iron

Come on, you can clearly see the horseshoe is shaped like at letter "C" for Confederate. If it were Union is would be a "U"

If it was a battlefield park you found the bullet at... You were breaking the law. Nonetheless the bullet isn't from the CW. May your next one be.

There is no way to conclude a horseshoe is from the confederate army.

I agree that there is no way to prove or disaprove whether or not
the shoe is Confederate or Yankee, someone here in S.C. said one
time that confederate shoes had a double row of nails, that being
said Iv'e never found one with that marking, and as for the bullet
All i can say is that it does not appear to have the white patina of
the C.W. era bullets we find down here, unless they are found in
wet areas, that being said Welcome to this crazy insanity of ours.

Tnet is full of CW specialists & if you post any statements about CW objects you will soon get some lessons. You just walked into a crossfire situation, no biggie.

Although I know very little about handling CW objects, I've learnt a lot on here & I have found hundreds of Enfield made CW period bullets on a nearby range. So from what I know, none of what you have looks CW to me, still who knows what will come up next.
