The temps were in the teens and the ground was frozen, but the top 1" or 2" at the play ground mulch was workable. Nothing great, but it was still enjoyable being out there. I did try out my new Minelab profind pinpointer. It works great. The oldest coin was a 1953 D nickel.

Hey Fingerlakes. Nice finds. I spent my summers of my youth at a cottage on Keuka lake. Cottage was from the 1800's. I wish I metal detected back then.

Glad you got to go out. Ground is basically completely frozen here in the NY Capital Region and a big storm coming tomorrow. Oh goody.
