Today's Hunt at Old abandoned School down the road....

...The silver dime was found by Scott--He was thrilled not to pull up ANOTHER "wheaty"! LOL! His 1st barber dime, I think,its not in good condition and we even pulled out the old microscope to make out date but it was just to mangeled:unhappysmiley::unhappysmiley:

my first Mercury dime was ran over by a train! But, even in a flattened, elongated "condition",
I was still able to make out it was a Merc by the profile, the obverse, face of the coin - its silver, all right!
You have some great finds! HH

Its toasted Alright!!! But finding it has motivated hubby and I to go back in am and look for more!....not so "toasty" LOL!

I hope you find more, start in that area you found the Merc and go real slow, and low. Take your time and cover every square inch. That's probably your game plan anyhow, good luck.

Thanks Everyone!!! Gonna try my little bit of new "skill" and hopefully a WHOLE LOTTA LUCK and see what I can rescue from the ground today! I hope You All plan the same for your day (its supposed to get up to mid 50s around here so those of you near the south east take advantage and hit those tot lots!) if not, ENJOY YOUR DAY WHATEVER THE PLAN!!!
