The couple inches of snow we got on Tuesday did not last long on the ground thank god. ! A couple hours after work at the Garrison park site ! I am curious if the Thistle button is Scotish Regimental or just a civilian button ! The pewter button with the lines and starburst I assume is civilian . A big plain dandy a small tombac and the curios deep bowl button that looks like it used to have a stone in it. A bent up shoe buckle frame rounded the hunt. ! Thanks for looking and Happy Treasure Hunting to all ! MaineRelic

Some nice finds there. Are you sure that deep bowl thing is a button? Almost looks like it could have been a child's play toy (a dish). I've found a pewter one similar in size and shape to yours. Just a thought.

Great hunt, Maine Relic!
I have given it a good look ! I am now leaning toward it being a leather mount . It is brass alloy and has a decoration around the edge. Inside on the reverse the lighter colored areas appear to be lead solder . So I believe the atatchment point fell off. II can find nothing similar enough to confirm however so My mind remains open to other possibilities ! Thanks for the Imput ! MaineRelic

Hey buddy that's quite a site you've got. That thistle button is beautiful and any pewter is a great old find. Glad you got out and had a nice hunt. All the best, Abe
