Slave bracelet may refer to: A copper bracelet used as a medium of exchange in the West African slave trade, see Manillas. Any bracelet made of chain links. An Indian wrist bracelet joined to a ring by a chain (Panjas). A bracelet worn by a slave (this meaning comes from BDSM fiction, e.g. John Norman's Gor series of novels; in this context it may be a colloquial term for handcuffs).

Nice Find ! Not sure why your sure it's a "Slave Bracelet" but Good Find
and Good Luck

I've never seen one like that, however I would believe that it is not extremely old. I do not think that black people used symbols associated with Africa until the end segregation.

It comes from a back filled privy, I found it near an old spoon and some square handmade nails. It appears old. I guess I'll let you guys know what else I excavate from the site.

I agree it has the handmade quality look, I'm just not sure that it's much older than 100 years. Did it come from a sealed layer (undisturbed)? Let us know what else came from 'that layer'.

I know I love it no matter how old it is. I will gladly trade you everything I've found in the last 10 days for it!!!
