Axe Head

I found this old axe head during my first metal detecting session a week ago, this was about an inch in the ground and had some of the wood, that was rotten, with two nails in it. Found it at an old property from the early 1900s.

I've been looking forward to going back to the place, I believe at some point there were some woodcutters up where I found this.
