I've been wanting to find a piece of Spanish colonial silver for a looooong time now and today I can say that I dug a 1788 half reale. Also I've always wanted to find a US three cent piece but figured I never would because they're VERY small and sound exactly like pull tabs, so I usually avoid those targets. The field we hunted today was full of colonial era flat buttons that sound like pull tabs so I was digging those signals and bam! Three cent peice. 1852. Frank from detect America also found a reale and a couple colonial coppers circa 1770. Eric dug a super rare war of 1812 naval button too. Oh.... And Drew dug a uber rare US 1/2 cent from 1794. A day full of VERY rare coins.... All on film sorry I just geeked out on you
looks like a killer trip these guys deserve their own show not some fools who do it for profit or some clowns that climb trees and climb in dog houses when they make a find. Just real people getting permission and keeping their finds that's what I'd like to see
Eh... It was a pretty good day... I guess... three large cents, a king george, a two cent, a half cent, bust dime, bust half dime, 1747 one reale, walker and some modern silver. Going back tomorrow.
