Hunted 3 different sites in east Tenn. this past Thursday - Sunday. The first site was one my dad just obtained permission to, CW activity all around it, I encountered there a very early house site that produced an amazing 21 flat buttons, 3 of which were tombacs (my firsts!). I hunted that site for two days convinced I would pull an old copper or maybe better, a spanish or capped bust silver, but alas, it was not meant to be. The only CW relic found there was a bayonet scabbard tip. The next two days at two other sites produced 69 cal. round balls, Enfields, standard minies etc. Also another eagle button that disintegrated in my hand...the 5th one in a row to do that :BangHead:
Happy hunting and thanks for looking!
