Cheaspeake Bay Gold..and some dirty Silver

Went out early Sunday morning to a fresh drop beach with a couple friends, did not find squat, So I did a little ride to a distant older beach today. Had to be the first time I have every seen treasure in soft sand, slipped out of the area and all targets disappeared. The bay is murky and all you have to go by is the feel of the bottom and where the water level lies on your body to judge low spots. This one was not low...just slit, sand then gravel. Many of the Silver here are in such bad shape the just fall apart. Was lucky to come across some yellow, 10k....looks dated to maybe the 50's?

Good assortment of finds. Its hard to believe how hard the water is on that stuff. Of course I live in the desert, so I am not used to any water!!

Great finds! Congratulations. It seems the beaches offer a lot of rewards but the condition suffers from the salt. Still fun finding the things anyway.

The top part of the Chesapeake bay is much kinder to silver coins, it does stain it dark sometimes, but it can turn pennies into mush.
