OMG thank you guys so much for the banner votes! The only size comparison I have is a Canadian 1 dollar coin, which is about the same size as a half dollar.

It was an.awesome feeling Steve!! I had no idea that it was even a coin at first. Once I flicked it out of the side of the hole and saw what it was, all I could do was laugh hysterically! I was so happy! I can only hope that I have another moment like that, and that you guys get to experience the same thrill when you find one!

Congrats on a really nice find! That one really came close to getting you into 1700's finds, so I would bet that a 1700's coin is in the near future.

Killer find Ace! I found my first 1700s silver a couple weeks ago and was acting like a ill school girl :-) this is super embarrassing but I dug a 1782 2 reale and a seated dime right off the bat. About an hour later I snuck over and looked in my keeper case just to make sure they were still there and they were actually real. I know I'm an idiot lol
