Today's find - One lonely Seated

I don't find Seated coins too often, so even though I was hoping the silver disk laying in the dug pile was a 2 Reale, it was instead a 1878 Seated Liberty Quarter.

But, sure beats getting skunked. No buttons today, no nicknacks, just the coin.

Don

PS, not used to finding silver, guess the sun was too bright on it and sort of washed out the photos!

GREAT FIND DON! SEATED LIBERTY QUARTERS DON'T COME AROUND THAT OFTEN. AS A MATTER OF FACT, I'VE ONLY FOUND TWO SEATED COINS - AN 1841 DIME AND AN 1850 HALF DIME, SO I'M STILL LOOKING FOR MY FIRST SEATED QUARTER. WAY TO GO!

Wow that coin has seen it's days, I just think about all the hands that coin has passed through just to get to you. ;D

Good find, well I guess I would settle for that coin if I found no other either.

What's the history on the location where you found your coin?

Great find!!! I have a quick question! I have noticed that a lot of great finds have came out of wooded sites. Are wooded areas a good place to hunt? And what do you look for in a wooded area that gives you the idea to hunt that area? Thanks for any feed back you can provide!!!
