Wow that is impressive. I have never seen one that big. You should post this in the North American forum.

I can't tell you too much other than it's beautiful and it's an awesome find. Congratulations.

Where I live (central MD) Indian relics are VERY hard to find. The Indians were run out of this state very early. I have found one hand ax and that was after well over 100 hours of creek walking and picking up thousands of rocks.

I would like to know more about this one also. It is rare that you find one that large without breaks. Find out what it is and update us. I would think that it should make banner with more information because it is in such good shape.

If you do much artifact hunting I would recommend the Overstreet guide. You can look it up on Amazon.

This was found in southern Illinois. Can anyone tell me anything about it? View attachment 1027900

BUT.....you didn't say "I found this"! Did YOU find this? Where(close is okay) and under what circumstance?

It also has a look of plastic. Can we get some closer views and maybe of one with a bright light shining through?
AND, the notches where it might be fastened seem too small in regards to the stress that might have had to be endured.

I think we need more info!!!

When I saw this one my first thought was; if you think that is real I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.

A cheap one until I can decide on a very good brand-name one to buy.

Would you post more pictures of both sides and a few close-ups please?

Edited to add: to be honest I thought it looked plastic-like.
